Welcome to Our Group!

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Javier Patarroyo to the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya as a postdoctoral researcher.

Dr. Patarroyo earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where his work focused on the production and characterization of inorganic nanoparticles, including solid and hollow noble metal nanoparticles and noble metal–metal oxide hybrid nanostructures.

Before joining our department, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the KAUST Catalysis Center of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.

His research interests center on the design, synthesis, characterization, and catalytic applications of inorganic nanomaterials and composites. We are excited to have him join our group and look forward to the innovative contributions he will bring to our ongoing research efforts.
